These are a section of comments made by children directly
affected by the storm. As part of the support process, a number of children
were invited to share their thoughts and feelings with words or pictures.

Dear Rosalia,
I remember when we were together and we told each other
many things, and now why have you gone?
It was fun when we played with Miguel and I killed
myself laughing.
I wish we had continued together like that forever
and that you never left my side.
I feel alone and sad because now you’ll never
be with me again.
I hope that you’re well and peaceful.
Thank-you so much for your affection, for your attention
and your understanding.

My friend left me so many memories of when we were
both together and we had so much fun. She and I
studied together, we played and did our work and
lots of other things, and now my friend is gone
and I’m left alone and sad. She gave me good
advice and told me good things and I cry lots for
my friend,
